Do you like beer? Forget its taste because of global warming!

The increasing temperature at our planet reflects badly on the one of main beer’s ingredients - hops. According to the words of the climatologist from the Czech Hydro meteorological Institute, conditions for growing hops deteriorate with every passing year. Czech scientists have made a number of observations, where they used data about weather, yield and quality of hops to assess the impact of global warming on this important component of beer.

The study had been lasted for 50 years. The Data from 1954 to 2006, which were collected in the Czech city of Zatec (often called just "the capital of hops")and processed by scientists, give us the disappointing forecast. It is believed that of the higher class can be called only the hops which contain 5% of alpha acids. It is they, and it is the percentage which gives a beer the famous bitter flavor. The study showed that half a century ago the proportions of alpha-acids began to change. Every year their concentration in the hops is reduced for 0,06%.
Slight annual changes resulted in a serious problem for the past half century and drastically affected the taste of beer. In addition, reduction is still going on, and specialists have to say that the classic Czech beer will be difficult to call a sample in the future. Not only Czech brewers face such a problem, but also their colleagues from Germany and Slovakia, who are no less renowned for their hops.

Are you ready to refuse from your favourite beer, my friends?

What is wrong with our seasons?

People, did you ever notice the fact that lately our year seasons had changed in some way? I mean the countries which have 4 truly seasons: winter with snow, autumn with yellow and read leaves, summer with hot sun and spring with melting snow and young green trees and flowers.

Lately, all these seasons have been mixed! What I mean is that we do not almost have now spring and autumn! Either HOT or COLD weather! And lately hot weather can be met more and more often than cold one! Do not you think it can be one of the global warming’s signs?

I have a thought that our grandchildren will feel its influence by no means. Do you agree?

I found a plan how to stop global warming. Here is the link:
http://www.nrdc.org/globalWarming/solutions/default.asp?gclid=CMCIxcq7_ZwCFcQTzAodpSsIbA

This plan has 5 steps:

1. Set limits on global warming pollution

2. Invest in green jobs and clean energy

3. Drive smarter cars

4. Create green homes and buildings

5. Build better communities and transportation networks.

What do you think, friends? Is it a solution for such a global problem?

Is a man the killer of the planet?

The changing climate is the scientifically established fact already. Significant long-term risks, including melting ice in Greenland and West Antarctica, the drastic reduction of biological diversity and change of direction of the Gulf Stream can seriously alter weather patterns and constitute a threat to humanity as a whole.
Among the causes of the climate change scientists call the offset of the orbit and tilt of the Earth, changes in solar activity, volcanic eruptions, increasing atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases, changes in land use. Last but not least is the role played by urbanization: today in about half of the world's population lives in urban areas, though the city with a population of 1 million people a day "produces" 25 tons of carbon dioxide and 300 tons of sewage. In addition, the mega-cities air temperature is slightly higher because of the large number of "hot" objects (buildings, machines). So, it is not a surprise that "global warming" is often associated with growing industrial activities.
Some scientists deny the fact that it is a man who is the main cause of this catastrophic climate change. But his deeds often lead to changes in the nature, do not they? What it is: the revenge of nature for the fact that people abuse its resources too actively? Or is the problem of global warming not so terrible as it may seem? Currently, predictions are such that humanity may soon be in a position of the heroes of the movie "Water World", where the disaster of almost all land was under water due to melting polar ice.
